The National Guaranteed Access to Healthcare Scheme is a statutory right indicating the maximum time limit any individual has to wait before getting in access to care.
If your public healthcare provider doesn’t meet the requirements in the National Guaranteed Access to Healthcare Scheme, you should be provided with the option to seek care from another provider. This care provider could either be in your own region or in another region.
If Region Skåne doesn’t meet the statutory time limit, you can be referred to another care provider within Region Skåne or in another region. Vårdgarantiservice will assist you in finding a new provider. You can then request Peritus Clinic as your provider via the clinic’s agreement with Region Skåne under the National Guaranteed Access to Healthcare Scheme.
The following applies if you have a registered address in Skåne:
You shall get an appointment with a specialist within 60 days.
If a decision for surgery is made, you shall be offered an appointment for surgery within 60 days.

If Region Halland doesn’t meet the statutory time limit, you can be referred to another care provider within Region Halland or in another region. Vårdgarantiservice will assist you in finding a new provider. You can then request Peritus Clinic as your provider via the clinic’s agreement with Region Halland under the National Guaranteed Access to Healthcare Scheme.
The following applies if you have a registered address in Halland:
You shall get an appointment with a specialist within 60 days.
If a decision for surgery is made, you shall be offered an appointment for surgery within 60 days.

If you haven’t received a call or notification for your visit within the time limits set by the National Guaranteed Access to Healthcare Scheme, you should contact the healthcare provider you are waiting to get healthcare from. The provider will give you updated information on the National Guaranteed Access to Healthcare Scheme. They will also give you information on what your available options of getting healthcare from another provider are. If there are no available private healthcare providers in your region, you can request to come to Peritus Clinic via the agreement we have with Region Skåne and Region Halland.

If a decision for surgery is made, you shall be offered an appointment for surgery within 90 days.
