SPECIALIST CLINIC UROLOGY

Peritus Clinic has two reception lines and four operating theatres with state-of-the-art equipment for anaesthesia and surgery. We offer a modern hospital with world-class equipment, with the latest generation robotic surgery. Moreover, we have a fully-equipped diagnostic department, including PET-CT and MRI.

As we cover all aspects of diagnostic techniques and treatment in-house, we can offer fast examinations and short waiting times for the surgery performed at the hospital.

Peritus Clinic is equipped with the latest technology in digital information management and imaging, which guarantees the highest patient safety standards.

PROFILE AREAS

Our current profile areas are the following:

  • Robotic-assisted surgery for prostate cancer (RALP).
  • Advanced diagnostics of prostate cancer combining MRI and fusion biopsy. We use a risk free method to perform tissue sampling from the prostate: A specialist punctures the skin in front of the rectum instead of through the rectum wall.
  • Treatment of benign prostate enlargement with a new type of laser (Thulium laser). We strive to offer outpatient treatment so that the patient can return home on the same day without a catheter.
  • Treatment of urinary incontinence in men with implants (artificial sphincter) or sling plastic.
  • Penile prosthesis for erectile dysfunction where other treatments have not been effective.

In the near future, Perituc Clinic plans to expand the offer to include additional specialist areas, other than urology.

RESEARCH

The ambitious investment in a fully-equipped clinic with advanced diagnostics and surgical treatments in-house makes it possible to conduct clinical research at the absolute forefront.

The placement of the clinic in the heart of the research cluster Medicon Village is a strategic choice, and research collaborations and projects in partnership with research groups and biotech companies in the cluster are underway.

It’s our ambition to participate in randomized phase II and III studies of new medicines for both cancer and non-cancer related conditions, in the near future.

To contribute to the development of precision diagnostic and treatment of cancer, the clinic will strive to initiate collaborations with leading research groups outside of Medicon Village and internationally as well.
