New roundabout on Scheelevägen with connection to E22

A new roundabout and street will be built for the new connection from E22 to the Ideon area. Work is expected to begin in December 2024 and be completed in spring 2026. The Swedish Transport Administration plans to begin its work with additional lanes on E22 and a new connection to Ideon in spring 2025.

Limited access during construction

The planned work area on Scheelevägen extends south from the intersection of
Scheelevägen and Ideongatan to Ole Römers väg. The work will cause major disruption to access on Scheelevägen, which will be closed for an extended period.
During the construction period, the parking lot east of the intersection of Scheelevägen and Ideongatan and its entrance will be affected in connection with the construction of a new local street.
The closure affects all road users in the area. During construction, signage will be in place for current and applicable directions.
The map shows alternative routes during construction. Pedestrians and cyclists are
proposed to be rerouted via Ideonpromenaden, marked in green on the map. Vehicular traffic is proposed to be rerouted via Sångarevägen, marked in orange on the map.
